RAFA

RAFA Uxbridge FC, as then known formed in 1988 we started off playing in the North Hillingdon & District Sunday Football League Div 7, since then we have been picking up trophies and promotion on a regular basis, our home ground was RAF Uxbridge which used to be the envy of all teams and officials that visited the ground. Two seasons ago we formed a reserve team but due to new owners on the RAF base they were unfortunately unable to accommodate us and we were renamed RAFA Battle of Britain Club FC, we now play out of Stockley Park, This took away quite few players hence why we are back to one team.
In the last 5 seasons we have always been involved within one of the cup finals wining three loosing two; our highlight has to be the 05/06 season when we reached the Middlesex junior cup final getting beat in extra time, also wining the premiership title in the same season.
2006/07 saw our first season in the H&DSFL again reaching a cup final and coming runners up in our division yet again gaining promotion, we must give lots of credit to the manager Damon Taylor and all the players, Our chairman Chris Gavigan who now lives in another part of town still has his policy of buying the beer when we win. Our treasurer Danny Forbes always willing to give us cash. And lets not forget Director of Football Gus Payne who works tirelessly both on and of the pitch.

CUP FINAL
A GOOD NIGHT WAS HAD BY ALL WITH RAFA Battle of Britain fc. beating rivals Harmondsworth 3.2 in the league cup final 15th April 2008, goals from Richard Anderson and a brace from Graham Geff secured a well deserved win, Man of the match had to go to James Rafferty (RAFA)Also well done Damon, the team, and all the backroom staff.
We would like to reassure the doctors that Gus only took his eye patch off for the photo's and he did not shout or get exited at all. !!!!
